The war against crime is not only waged by the Police. Some cases cannot be handled through the usual channels of authority. Sometimes they are too important even for Scotland Yard or Interpol to handle.

At times they're of great political importance and security may be threatened. On other occasions they're simply very personal to the people concerned. All the cases which appear in Adam Strange's file are out of the ordinary, sometimes bizarre, and always intriguing.

Anthony Quayle stars as Adam Strange in this well-loved series. And Anneke stars as Evelyn Maclaine, who lives next door to Adam Strange. She befriends Strange and his partner, Ham, and soon becomes involved with Strange's cases.

Produced by the ITC Entertainment Group around 1968. There were 16 episodes produced, and it is now shown around the world in syndication. After the first season was completed, the series was so popular, that production was to be moved to the United States. But after some thought, and discussion, it was decided among the 3 actors/actresses that they would not go any further on with the series. Anthony wanted to take a holiday on his boat, in France. Anneke wanted to move to the country and grow vegetables. The strenous work and long hours involved in shooting the series, took it's toll.
